– Alpha Upsilon Chapter at The University of Alabama –

Welcome to the Alpha Upsilon chapter of Alpha Chi Omega!

As a Tuscaloosa native, I grew up watching the sororities my entire life. Having friends in almost every house, I felt more pressure than ever during rush week. I was terrified of letting someone down or making the wrong decision. However, every time that I walked into Alpha Chi – I could just take a deep breath. I quickly discovered that the girls in this house were real. I knew that these were the women that I wanted to be surrounded by throughout my four years at the University and, ultimately, for the rest of my life. Their passion for being involved on campus, serving the community, and blazing trails is both inspiring and contagious. I knew immediately that I wanted to be a part of it! Needless to say, I excitedly pledged Alpha Chi Omega at the end of recruitment week and would make the same choice over and over again if I could! Every day when I walk into the house, I feel the same love that I felt during rush week. All of the older women in the house welcomed me with open arms and quickly became my biggest role models. Whether they are providing class advice, praying for me during a tough week, reviewing my resume, helping me pick out a dress for the upcoming date party, always being down to get a late night milkshake, or just pouring life into me – these girls are here through every phase of college. This sisterhood is truly something special, and I was not sure that I would be able to find it through a sorority until I had it. Through Alpha Chi, I have found my support network and the best of friends. We are beyond excited to welcome new members into the house soon and watch them experience the genuine love and friendship that we have all found here.

I hope that you continue looking through our page to get a glimpse into the amazing things that our women are doing on our campus, in the community, and all over the world! Thanks for stopping by our page!

With love,

Allie Coogler
